Scrapbooking progress

Since graduation, i've been enjoying being able to get back into scrapbooking. It's amazing how naturally combining pattern paper, embellishments and photographs comes after so much time away from it! Heres two pages recent pages i've been working on, but are still works in progress. The photographs are taken from my recent holiday and really highlight my favourite parts from my week away. Apologies for the poor quality photographs, I didn't have my main camera on me at the time so had to make do with the trusted iPhone. Enjoy bloggers!

Beautiful pink blossoms taken in Guardamar. I still need to add my title, and use foam pads to the hand cut flowers and embellishments.

Various holiday snaps from my Guardamar adventure this year! I still need to add my title, mount the page, and stick down everything.

Aqua and coral = My colour crush!

Since returning from my holiday, and seeing so many beautiful bright, bold colours I have developed a huge colour crush for the aqua and coral combo. They work fantastically together and has been a massive trend for spring/summer 2013.

This wedding invitation set from Oh So Beautiful Paper gives a real subtle, yet beach vibe to the trend.  love the way that Coral and aqua tones have been used to add highlights to the paper rather than overpower the delicate, feminine edge. The pattern within the envelope os so beautiful, and is one of my favourite coral images i've found!

The Perfect Palette produce the most wonderful mooboards, inspired by all things colourful! The combination of textures, pattern and shades of Aqua and coral look great, especially when teamed with hints of cream and white (Top left, Bottom left).

Binita Patel's blog includes this beautiful moodboard (Right) inspired by the coral and aqua colour clash, and also another fantastic trend of mine.. Chevrons! These aqua ones are a great and simple way of bringing in this bold trend, even to the most neutral of colour schemes.

These earrings really highlight the jewel like nature of this colour palette, and the hint of gold brings a real warmth.

I Absolutely love this scarf from TDL at Glassworks. From it's beautiful snake-like, printed pattern to the aqua/coral colour combo!

Spanish adventure to Guardamar

So i've returned from my wonderful week away and finally updated my blog after a months neglect!

Again, I visited sunny Guaramar in Costa Blanca, Spain, It's a typical Spanish town which has some of the most beautiful beaches, and a local street market every Wednesday which we also managed to visit.

It was such a wonderful holiday and was my second visit to Guaramar, and would definitely recommend visiting if you have the chance! It was also a great way to dust off a few Spanish phrases from my GSCE days!

Relaxing in the sunshine on the balcony!
