Whitlingham Broad

Yesterday, I spent my day relaxing in the sunshine at Whitlingham Broad in Norfolk. There were so many interesting things to look at including, some beautiful little purple flowers, ruins of buildings, a tractor and even a family of ducklings! So cute! As well as this, there were so many swans and geese around it was unbelievable!

Unfortunately my camera ran out of batteries not long after I got there so I couldn't take many photographs. However, here are just a few from my day!

Film project

Last week I was really busy, venturing out and about capturing footage for my short film project as part of my BA textile course. I am really enjoying the idea of thinking differently about how I collect information and record my research in film form and I think that my experimental approach really shows within my short film. The inspiration behind it includes my love of taking photographs alongside quirky and innovative ideas.

Hello! I have returned to my blog after a hectic few weeks leading up to hand in, and am pleased to be back. Yesterday evening I was lucky enough to have captured a sneaky shot of the beautiful sunset we had!

Inspiring inspiration board

An inspiration board I made to help influence my bird inspired design work using a combination of hand printed papers, digital designs, my own photographs and drawings. Am really pleased with the results!

BA6: Collection of final samples

Here are the designs for my final collection of samples inspired by birds and the idea of 'the stripe'. I am really pleased with my final four textile print designs and can't wait to get them sublimation printed, and also foil/flocked.
