Turkish tiles...

During a recent visit to Holt, I came across these beautiful wall tiles within a local fish and chip shop. The owners nephew said they had come all the way from Turkey and had been in the shop ever since he could remember.

I couldn't help but take a photograph of them as I think the patterns and colours are so beautiful. They are so inspirational!!

Back to the scrapbook...

After months and months of keeping my scrapbooking supplies under the bed, i've finally brought them to light again.

For these two layouts i've used American Crafts Dear Lizzy papers, remarks and Thickers. I'm such a huge fan of the American Crafts products but they're so hard to get hold of in the UK! These particular ones I got from Amazon a while back and just them love using them so much in my scrapbooking!

Overall, i'm really pleased with these layouts and am already working on some others using a combination of Dear Lizzy papers, Thickers and also a cute Martha Stuart paper punch i picked up from a local craft shop.

Enjoy!

Holkham beach...

Yesterday I visited Holkham beach, somewhere where I haven't been in years so was really excited to revisit it again.

As the beach and surrounding woodland is National Trust protected, all the trees are given a special little metal lable. Couldn't help but take a picture of one of them.

As I child I was always collecting stones, pebbles and a variety of shells and as you can see, the obsession still continues! I intend to make unique little pieces of jewellery, such as necklaces and bracelets with the ones I collected from Holkham.

As we walked down towards the beach, we even met some new friends!

Pretty views of the sea..

There were hundreds and hundreds razor shells...

I even saw some tiny fish. This picture isn't great, however you can just about make it out!

Day out in the capital..

Here are some photographs from my day out in London. I had a really lovely day and here are some typical tourist photos to prove it!

We also went to covent garden so I could pay the Cath Kidston shop a much needed visit where I purchased a rather pretty little Thermos flask and a vintage-y bracelet. This is where we then saw this guy who was amazing. I could have watched him all day!
